Aerobic Class Description
Shape Up: Slim down and tone-up -
The HSPA beginner low impact aerobic thorough workout. Includes a 10-minute
warm-up, body alignment, flexibility, strengthening and calisthenics. 20
minutes of low impact aerobics. This class is especially for the new member
and for those who wish to maintain their present state of fitness.
Mixed Impact:
Beginner-intermediate aerobic workout. More difficult than the slim down
and tone up class. Features a warm-up, 25-30 minutes of low and high
impact. A continuous pace designed to strengthen, firm and challenge. Some
Pilates exercises will be implemented as well.
Low Impact: This is an excellent
class for everyone. It maximizes fitness levels while minimizing the
possibility of injury. Performing low impact technique correctly will
challenge cardiovascular endurance levels, burn more fat and improve over
all body strength, dexterity and control. There is little jumping involved
in low impact. It's best described as high powered stepping and large
movement form of aerobic exercises.
Triple Mix: This class is designed
to do it all! It starts off with a warm-up, 10-15
minutes of low/mixed impact, steps, calisthenics and finishes with a
stretch. This class is for the beginner or advanced member. If you're
looking for a challenge as well as a little variety, this is the class for
you.
Step: A challenging workout for
every level. Working and concentrating on all major muscle groups.
Beginners use the 4-inch step, while the advanced use the 6-inch step. Lots
of combinations, leg/buttock work, arm exercises and strengthening work
included. A great way to get and stay in shape.
Boot Camp: This class utilizes
intervals of Plyometrics centered around the step. Intervals consist of
cardio, toning and abs., cardio, toning, abs, etc. etc. Additional floor
work will also be added.
Tone and Shape:
This class will concentrate on the abdomen, with a focus on the upper
and lower body. We'll use an exercise ball, tubes and rubber bands to
achieve these goals.
Please note: All classes are suitable for any level with modifications.
Remember to always work at your own pace and if you are new to our program
please inform the instructor.

Please be respectful of your
instructor and be on time to class dressed and ready to go. Classes need
and must start on time!

If you have any injuries or
health issues please inform your instructor prior to class.

We have plans to add a few
classes to our program. If attendance falls below 4 per class, we will be
forced to delete them from the schedule. Don’t be afraid to try these new
classes and give us feedback. Possibilities include Tone & Shape & Beginner
shape-up.

Due to limited space
availability we often times use different studios on different days. Be
prepared to check the schedule to know what studio class will be held in.
We appreciate your flexibility.
We have wonderful and qualified instructors
who are professionally trained and will sometimes want to alter or change
parts of their workouts to make them more fresh, fun and beneficial to you.
If a routine becomes too repetitive, it becomes boring and your overall
workout will suffer from it. Remember, be open minded and patient with our
new ideas and we’re sure you’ll see and feel the difference. We appreciate
your support and salute your dedication over many years we have been able to
provide you with motivating and fun classes. If any questions, concerns or
suggestions ever come up, please feel free to discuss them with any of the
instructors.
