Select Small Groups:
For those company students who are chosen to participate in a competitive small group there will be a fee of $125 per person per group. This fee includes the choreography fee as well as all scheduled rehearsals throughout the year. This will be alot less bothersome from week to week than paying $5 here and $8 there.
Private Lessons:
Fees for private lessons are posted in the Lobby and are expected to be paid to the instructor at the time of each private lesson. There are different fees for solo, duet and trio lessons. Students should also sign in on the “Private Lesson” clip board.
Company Students and Requirements:
If your child dances in a company class there are several requirements that you need to be aware of:
1. All Company students are required to take a minimum of 16 hours of class time during the summer. Typically dance camps are offered during the summer and taking just 1 4-day dance camp will fulfill this requirement.
2. You are required to attend a minimum of 3 hours of dance each week in order to hold your spot in a Company class.
3. Conventions are held throughout the year and although we do not currently require you to attend these we do strongly suggest them as they offer a great learning experience with a variety of dance instructors from around the country. Note: If you intend to perform a solo at any DMA competition you are required to have attended a DMA convention in order to do so.
4. You are required as a company student to compete in 2 competitions each year. As a studio, we compete in ADA(American Dance Awards) and DMA(Dance Masters of America).Details about these competitions are given to the students by their individual instructors.
5. Some dance students participate in fall sports that seem to monopolize almost every day. Although we support and encourage school participation 100% and encourage our students to be well rounded individuals, we ask that you make every effort to attend class and not let your dance skills become obsolete during this busy time of year.
