RECITAL BRACELETS

     The recital bracelets now take the place of the standard recital tickets, and yes everyone needs one to get in, not only for the students but for all family members and friends as well.  There will be a different color bracelet per show in order to enter the auditorium.  This is to help alleviate the hassle of searching for your tickets each time you leave and reenter, as well as making it easier on our volunteer door parents.  As in the past years all students were required to purchase tickets in order to sit in the audience and watch the show, after all, in we allowed every student to take a seat in the audience there wouldn't be any seats left for your parents and family members.    The good news is that we have made it more affordable for families to attend by dropping the student price considerably.  The tickets used to be $8.00 for a child ticket per night and $13.00 for a student over age 12 per night.  Now you can purchase a discount HSPA STUDENT bracelet for only $6.00 for a single show or $10.00 for both shows.  That's a BIG savings especially for those families with multiple students.  For those of you parents that need to be there both shows, check out our new combo price packets, big savings all around.  All in all this new policy worked out well for everyone involved last year proving to be a great success.  As you may guess, this change was done to help you families, it does not benefit us financially in any way.  If anything, the savings past on to you, cost US money.  Then why do we do it, you my ask?  The answer is simple, as parents of busy kids ourselves we know the high expense that our children's activities incur, so we are doing all we can to keep it affordable for your child to stay with dance and among our Dancing Family.  Ironically the only people that were displeased with the new policy last year were those students who continually snuck in free for the last 10 years.

     For all you newcomers, the BIG question and reaction we get is always the same; "Wait a minute, you mean that we have to buy tickets to see our kid dance in the show??"  YES, you do!!  Keep in mind; all other studios have the same policy in regards to purchasing tickets.  In 73 years of business we have never seen a studio put on a FREE recital!!  We strongly encourage that the young students especially stay and watch; it can be so inspiring and motivating for them to see the more advanced students; giving them something to aspire to.  The recital is the culmination of every student's hard work and only comes once a year.  It's a big deal for them!! Sadly each year, we see a handful of young students dropped off at the doors just in time for their dance while the parents wait out in the lobby or in their cars because they refuse to buy a ticket or are just too busy.  What message does that send to the child?  We urge you to please join us in celebrating your child's efforts, commitment, and talent.  Don't they deserve their moment in the spotlight?  Let them know you are just as proud of them as we are!
