Spaghetti Family Dinner
Please note date changed to Thursday, May 24th, at the William E. Norris School – this will be our annual Spaghetti family dinner night! Doors open at 5 p.m. with dinner being served around 6 p.m. Awards and raffles will last until roughly 8:30. If you haven't been before -- you won't want to miss it! It's a fun night to get together, celebrate our year, and WIN SOME PRIZES! Tickets are $6 for HSPA dancers and non-students 12 years-old and under; $8 for adults (13+).
We'll be hosting our annual Chinese raffle and are currently seeking donations -- gift cards, jewelry, plants, summer fun items, themed baskets, dance accessories and/or gear, etc. THANK YOU in advance for your contributions! Our raffle wouldn't be as popular and fabulous as it is without the generous support from our amazing HSPA friends and families.
If you will be contributing a raffle item, please bring it to the HSPA office by Wednesday, May 16th. Please remember to include your name so we know who donated what items. We are requesting that if you do plan on donating a raffle item to please sign up on the bulletin board, so we can get an estimate of the number of prizes coming ahead of time.
We warmly welcome volunteer help with set-up (between 2:30 p.m. - 5 p.m.) and event break-down and clean-up (around 9 p.m.).
Tickets will go on sale soon -- we'll keep you posted!
Picture week will be Tuesday, May 29th thru Monday, June 4th. Recreational dancers are requested to bring their costumes during their regularly scheduled classes with the correct tights and shoes, as well as hair and make-up done. We will get them set up for a full class picture and then will invite parents in to also grab a quick class picture with your phones/cameras. Then they will get a little bit of time for some individual pictures for those parents who are interested.
Team dancers will have photos done for all dances on one day, Saturday, May 5th. This includes production numbers, tap numbers and their non-competitive ballet class pictures. This will help eliminate extra hair / make-up days for their multiple numbers. More details regarding an exact time schedule per number to follow soon! The only number that we may need to hold off from photographing that day is the opening number, as costuming may not be completed by that date.
Calling all Dads
Our annual dad’s rehearsals will begin Wednesday, April 25th at 7:00-8:30pm, and every Wednesday after that! This will run through our last rehearsal on Wednesday, June 6th. That gives us a total of 7 rehearsals. The first four weeks of rehearsals are without the daughters please – just dads!
ALL DADS ARE WELCOME -- no experience required. In fact, the less experience, the better! As always, we promise you won't want to miss out. It's going to be as entertaining as always... a crowd favorite. We will be posting practice videos on the Facebook page this year for you to access from home! We are hoping to even post some before rehearsals begin, so you can get ahead on the choreography – let’s see who knows it at the first rehearsal! 😉
CLI Live Classes
We have some very exciting CLI Live classes coming up – these are open to full CLI members, except if the class is on a Monday night it will be open to all dancers.

Team Competition Fees/Notes
Reminder that all competition fees must be paid BEFORE we will enter your dancer in the competition. All fees and due dates are posted on the sign-up sheets at the studio. These fees must be a separate check as well please. Parents - ADA release forms need to be signed – hanging on the studio bulletin board.
Team Choreography Fees
All choreography fees are now past due and MUST BE paid immediately – please see someone in the office ASAP. Musical Theater fee is $75 for all, except Diamond 1 and Diamond 2 teams which the fee is discounted.
Diamond Teams 1 & 2 will be hosting a Paint and Sip Party to help offset some of their overall seasons expenses. Sunday, April 8th from 2:00-4:00pm at Shortstop Bar & Grill in Westfield, MA. $35.00 – see link below to register:
We know that your dancers team expenses can be overwhelming, especially the more advanced they become – we do require the Diamond Teams to attend the Jump Convention/Competition in NYC and have guest choreographer fees for most of their group numbers. Each team is more than welcome to work independently when creating and organizing their own fundraising events, continually keeping Lisa A. and Alison in the loop so they can share the necessary information to everyone involved. Teams may also combine for a fundraiser as well, however there is no obligation to do so, it may become more difficult to organize with everyone’s schedule when you have too large a group.
